Sweet Soy Roasted Broccoli
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons light soy sauce (less sodium)
- 1 tablespoon black and white sesame seeds (toasted)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)

- 8 ounces broccoli florets (trimmed into bite size pieces.)
- 2 teaspoons Asian-Inspired BBQ Rub like qnami
- 2 mandarin oranges (cut in half, or 6 oz can of mandarin oranges, drained)
- 120 grams honey roasted peanuts
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
- Preparation
- Mix olive oil, brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame seeds, and minced garlic for the marinade. Trim broccoli florets into bite-size pieces.
- Cooking/Assembly
- Toss the broccoli florets with the marinade and place them stem side down on the Cast Iron Pan, Pour the remaining marinade over the top of the florets. Season with Q-Nami seasoning. Cook until you like the texture and colour.
- Finishing
- Transfer to a presentation bowl and top with orange segments, chopped honey roasted peanuts, and red pepper flakes. Serve immediately and enjoy.
Place broccoli stem side down for even cooking. Don't overcook - broccoli should retain some bite.
Storage: Best served immediately. Can be stored in refrigerator for up to 2 days.
